The Super Bowl entertainment lineup just keeps growing: Maroon 5 have been announced as yet another act to perform during the pre-game festivities on Sunday.
The pop/rock band joins "Glee" songstress Lea Michele, Keith Urban and the Blue Man Group as additional performers for the NFL show celebration.
According to their website, Maroon 5 are set to perform their latest single, "Never Gonna Leave This Bed," during Fox's pre-game coverage, which begins at 2 p.m. ET. Last week, it was confirmed that Michele would perform her rendition of the patriotic tune "America the Beautiful" during the show.
This marks Maroon 5's latest high-profile booking. On January 14, the Los Angeles group took honors as the house band for the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, where they performed classic tunes and their own hits.
Christina Aguilera is another powerhouse diva who will join in the Super Bowl Sunday entertainment. Kicking off the championship game, the blond bombshell will take duties belting out the national anthem. And once the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers showdown begins, the Black Eyed Peas are set to get the crowd moving when they perform during the big game's halftime show. The Peas will become the first non-rock act in seven years to perform on the biggest stage in TV, following in the footsteps of a glittering procession of classic-rock acts that have had the honor in recent years, including Sir Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Prince, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band and, last year, the Who.
