Mary J. Blige ‘eats to tracks’

Mary J. Blige's tracks were played at the venue she enjoyed brunch at over the weekend.

The 41-year-old singer was spotted enjoying some down-time with her girlfriends on Sunday in New York City's popular Meatpacking District.

Mary was seen at Brasserie Beaumarchais eating brunch, where she indulged in champagne and eggs.

According to the New York Post, professional DJ Jeffrey Tonnesen paid homage to the singer-songwriter by "spinning several" of her hit tracks while she was in the vicinity.

Mary carried on the festivities at restaurant STK Rooftop, where she and her group of friends were spotted dancing at their table, while New York Yankees baseball team captain Derek Jeter was spotted at an adjacent spot.

Mary recently paid tribute to the late singer Donna Summer. The R&B star took to her Twitter page to gush about the music industry's loss.

"RIP Donna Summers!!!!!!!!! You were truly a game changer!!! (sic)" she wrote.
