Meat Loaf is returning to action less than 12 months after hanging up his bat.
Meat Loaf will head to Las Vegas in February for a 24-date residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino for Rocktellz & Cocktails.
In May, 2013, Meat Loaf announced he would no longer tour due to the "nightly stress" but a stable location such as Vegas allows him to continue to perform.
The Rocktellz & Cocktails format is the full-on rock concert mixed with stories from the artists, much like the VH1/MTV Unplugged shows.
"I had so much fun doing the show in the fall, I couldn't wait to extend my time in Vegas when they asked me to," said Meat Loaf. "For me, the show is more than just another concert because the RockTellz & CockTails format allows me to add something different. I'm able to bring together music, acting and theater and do things you can't normally do when you're on the road. I get to have a lot of fun and it definitely shows."
RockTellz & Cocktails is another Vegas production from Adam Steck, the man behind Las Vegas productions for Human Nature, The Australian Bee Gees Show and Thunder From Down Under.
"As a life-long lover of music, I'm particularly excited to bring RockTellz & CockTails to the Las Vegas Strip," said Steck, founder and CEO of SPI Entertainment. "This show is about celebrating the spectacle of the artist and their musical evolution, while providing an arena-worthy performance in an intimate, interactive setting. I'm passionate about bringing fresh and exciting entertainment offerings to Las Vegas and RockTellz & CockTails will be a musical journey unlike any other."
Meat Loaf will perform at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas from February 13 to April 8, 2014.
