Mercury Rev join End of the Road Festival

The End of the Road Festival 2008 is pleased to announce the very first set of confirmed artists. They are:

Mercury Rev, Micah P Hinson, Mountain Goats, Sun Kil Moon / Mark Kozelek, Two Gallants, Jeffrey Lewis, Jason Molina, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Bob Log III, The Wave Pictures, Woodpigeon, Friska Viljor

Said festival co-organiser Sofia Hagberg: "It's great to have such an amazing bunch of acts already wanting to come and play at this early stage. There are more in the pipeline, but this is a good taster of what's in store."

This year's festival takes place from 12 – 14 September. It will be the third installment of an event that won Best New Festival at the Festival Awards 2006 and was last year, for many of those who attended, the highlight of the festival calendar.

Taking place in North Dorset's Larmer Tree Gardens, the team is looking to evolve what the Ben Secher of the Daily Telegraph, reviewing 2007's festival, called "a bucolic pop paradise where peacocks strutted across the lawns, parrots swayed in the trees and satisfied fans ambled from stage to stage" and the Independent's Nick Hasted simply described as "the best of the lot".

The End of the Road Festival 2008 takes place from 12 – 14 September at North Dorset's Larmer Tree Gardens.

Adult weekend (incl. camping) = £105
Children 13-16 (incl. camping, must be accompanied by an adult) = £105
Chidren 12 and under (must be accompanied by an adult) = £15
Children 5 and under (must be accompanied by an adult) = FREE
Live-in Vehicle / Campervan / Caravan = £30
Car park = £5 (pay on arrival)

(ROUGH TRADE EAST TICKET PACKAGE - this will be available from the Rough Trade shops in about a month's time and will include a coach ride back and forth to the festival, departing from Rough Trade East in London, as well as some goodies / perks.)
