When it comes to Halloween radio airplay, the king is still a Thriller. Michael Jackson's 1982 track has once again topped the Nielsen BDS list of the most played Halloween-themed songs.
The next two aren't very surprising either, Bobby Boris Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers' Monster Mash and Ray Parker, Jr.'s Ghostbusters, but further down the chart are a couple of surprises.
While totally appropriate, Rob Zombie is the only artist to place two records in the top 20 with Living Dead Girl and Dragula. Neither were heard in any format except for Mainstream Rock. Even a bigger surprise is the top ten showing for Christian rock band Skillet and their song Monster.
