The lawyers acting for Michael Jackson's doctor have asked for the jury that will hear the involuntary manslaughter case against the physician to be sequestered.
Dr Conrad Murray's attorneys said on Wednesday (July 20) that unless isolated the jury may be influenced by mass media coverage.
But the judge overseeing the trial has said he did not it was necessary and doubted whether the Los Angeles court system would be able to afford it, reports Reuters.
The trial of Dr Murray, who has pleaded not guilty, is expected to last two months.
He has been accused of administering the lethal dose of powerful anaesthetic that killed Jackson in June 2009.
