Cardiologist Conrad Murray allegedly pumped the singer full of propofol at his home in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles and “abandoned” him, leaving the room to send e-mails and make a string of phone calls.
Paramedics testified that when they arrived at Jackson’s house to try and resuscitate him, his body was cool, his pupils were fixed and dilated and he appeared to already be dead.
Just 24 hours earlier the King of Pop was said to have been in “good spirits” as he took part in an energetic rehearsal at LA’s Staples Center ahead of his ‘This Is It’ tour.
Murray, 58, denies a charge of involuntary manslaughter. If convicted, he could face a four-year jail sentence.
