Michael Jackson's former doctor Conrad Murray will serve the maximum jail sentence of four years if the singer's prosecutors are successful.
Dr Conrad Murray has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter by an LA jury earlier this month (November 7).
In their argument on November 3, the prosecution said Dr Murray had caused the star's death through negligence.
Prosecutors have urged a judge to hand out the maximum sentence of four years to Conrad ,along with forcing Murray to pay £64,000 to Jackson's children for their loss, reports BBC News.
It is likely that Conrad will serve a total of two years after a new California was passed to limit overcrowding in prisons.
In their argument last Thursday (November 3), the prosecution said Dr Murray had caused the star's death through negligence.
