Michael Kiwanuka recently made a rather good impression on the entire country with his moving and seemingly effortless soul filled vocals. With a headline tour upcoming and his new single 'I'll Get Along' set for release 28 May, it seems MK is just getting started.
Having won BBC Sound of 2012 award in January, big things are expected from Kiwanuka on his up and coming tour commencing 13 May.
Somehow the swift rising star has found time to spend the day in Ray Davis' Konk Studio with The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach running the desk. 'Lasan' was the product of that little outing, which has since become a viral hit.
'I'll Get Along' echo's proudly of Van Morrison and even more predominantly of Bill Withers. The 24 year old is accompanied by a simplistic yet compelling backing band. His voice floats effortlessly on top of the instrumentation, producing a finely polished product.
