Sir Mick Jagger says performing live can be "orgasmic".
The Rolling Stones frontman has likened being on stage to having sex, insisting they are both highly pleasurable experiences.
He said: "Is it like sex? I don't know. Is there an orgasmic moment? Not that there necessarily has to be in sex. It's a different kind of thing. At times, you have to be more calculated about what you do."
Although the 65-year-old musician still gets a thrill out of touring, Jagger also enjoys having a private life away from the spotlight. He explained: "It's a great thing to do but you don't want to be doing it all the time.
"I'm not saying I'm boring, but you have to have a regular life. You don't want to be a performer all the time. You don't want me on the table singing."
He added: "People seem to find it hard to accept that you can be several people at the same time. Of course it's a different persona. If you came to a dinner party as your stage persona, he wouldn't be a very welcome guest!"
