Mike Posner said new track is about his one-night-stands

The 23-year-old star admitted that he definitely drew on his own experiences for his new single Please Don't Go.

He said to UK newspaper Daily Star: 'Basically, sometimes you meet someone and you wish the relationship could last longer than it does. Sometimes it only lasts for one night and sometimes you don't want it to be like that.

'I've been upset on a few occasions - not at the hands of the girls themselves but because it was only, and could only ever be, a short-lived thing.

'I'm still single but I'd say I'd had a healthy amount of female attention.'
