Miley Cyrus has blasted critics who branded her a "poser" for wearing an Iron Maiden t-shirt.
The US singer is adamant that she is fan of the legendary British heavy metal band and has denied that her choice of clothing was merely a fashion statement.
On a video posted on YouTube, Cyrus addresses her critics, saying: "I'm sure you all have seen me rocking an Iron Maiden shirt lately."
She added: "I know there's been some people saying, 'Oh, she's a poser,' and 'The only reason she's wearing Iron Maiden is because she wants to be a rock star.'
"So, Iron Maiden - 'Run To The Hills', 'Fear of the Dark', 'Running Free' - all good songs, check it out. So thank you, guys. I actually do like Iron Maiden."
Miley Cyrus's new single, 'Fly On The Wall', is due to be released on 16 February.
