The actress plays M'lady De Winter in The Three Musketeers, which she has been shooting recently. The part required her to move around on horseback, and onlookers were left terrified when the animal she was riding for one scene suddenly reared up and began cantering away.
“She’d been riding side-saddle and it suddenly whinnied wildly and galloped down a cobblestone street, nearly throwing her off,” reports National Enquirer.
Milla’s husband Paul W.S. Anderson is directing the release, and began screaming for handlers to help. They rushed after the charging steed, and were amazed to see a calm Milla coaxing the horse into a steady trot.
“She slowed it down until a handler finally caught up and led the skittish animal back to the set,” the publication added.
Milla even declined to take a break from filming, instead opting to use a different horse for the duration of the shoot.
