My Chemical Romance are due to release their third album on October 23.
It will be follow up to their double CD/DVD package 'Life On The Murder Scene', and the first new material since 2004's 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge'.
In a statement bassist Mikey Way said of the album: "Even though 'Three Cheers' hadn't been out that long, we could hardly wait to jump into album three."
He added: "We want this to be the album that My Chemical Romance is remembered for. We all have records that shaped our childhood and teen years. When you hear a song, it shoots you back to a moment in time. We want this album to do that for people. We want the entire world to be moved."
The as yet untitled album was produced by Green Day producer Rob Cavallo.
Guitarist Ray Toro added: "Sonically, Rob is a master. It is a joy to watch him craft tones that make your song sound like you always dreamed it would."
As previously reported singer Gerard Way has been working on a graphic novel, 'Umbrella Academy' set to be released next year.document.write(unescape("
