My Chemical Romance could be set to headline the Reading and Leeds festivals in August, Gigwise can reveal.
The band, who released new album 'Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys' last year, are one of a host of acts Gigwise understands are in talks to perform at the event.
''We don’t really know at the moment which ones we’re doing but we are definitely doing some of the major UK festivals,'' frontman Gerard Way told Gigwise.
''We always love playing at Reading and Leeds, the UK crowds have always been great to us, so you never know.''
My Chemical Romance kept fans guessing as to whether they would be headlining the festival during an appearance at London's Wembley Arena on Saturday (February 12).
''You fancy f*cking up some festivals this year? You fancy seeing us at some festivals this year?'' Way told the audience.
Last month, Gigwise revealed that Arctic Monkeys, Pulp, Muse and The Strokes were all in line to play the festival, which runs from August 26-28.
Organisers Festival Republic said they would not comment on the rumours.
