Following a reign of notorious rock n roll electro parties at the now iconic Proud Galleries and more recently The Bloomsbury Ballroom, Be are pleased to announce the first event of a new collaboration with their Camden cohorts Adventures Close To Home.
This truly spectacular night will see the return to the BE stage for Mystery Jets taking to the stage to perform one of their only London shows this season, having recently completed a tour of the US supporting Klaxons and fresh from working with Erol Alkan on their second album the Mystery Jet boys are only too raring and ready to unleash their new material on the Bloomsbury audience.
Following hot on their footsteps are Native New Yorkers - Holy Hail, signed to Adventures Close to Home, they will be taking to the stage to push it up a gear on the dancefloor with a scintillating live performance, a wonderfully mixed bunch; together they create a sound that draws on the honky tonk, the old school, and southern gothic and bring politically charged lyrics to the dance party.
Also sharing the night and on fine form will be Friendly Fires who have had a storming summer; with sell out shows around the UK and a highlight set on Sunday night at Bestival… all seeing their fanbase grow and grow, and soon they will have a finished album. They will be offering us their eclectic mix of the pop charm of Snap!, the funk allure of Prince, the disco sheen of Donna Summer and the electronic patter of Daft Punk…all topped off with the unabashed charm of George Clooney. Oh yes.
What is their not to say about Skull Juice? Hotly tipped them as the best of a new breed of young DJs who are unbridled by any genre definitions. They mash up the decks with their unique twist of electro-rave-bmore-grime-noise and they WILL be Mashing up the decks!
With an asingle due out on ACTH early 2008, Sticken City will be treading the BE boards for the first time and giving us a taste of their unique sounds. This London foursome make for a striking live proposition as they slink around the stage dishing out reverb-heavy, scratchy riff-fueled indie pop and packed to bursting with compelling melodies and killer attitude.
Pushing the party onwards and upwards on the decks and rocking the the roof off will be the amazing Anna Wrecks it & Captain Magic, Playdead and of course the usual brilliance from the boys of the night, DavidH who will be moving and shaking the dancefloor sideways with infectious electro rock n roll party noise and Adventures close to home playing their signatory acid house, acid rock & acid disco to rock the party into supreme fever.
This is one super sensory collision not to be missed.
