N-Dubz star Dappy has claimed that he wants his solo career to reach his idols, including U2's Bono.
The rapper previewed his first single 'No Regrets' yesterday (July 20).
The track, due to be released this summer, name checks a number of high profile stars, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, Kurt Cobain and Liam Gallagher.
Dappy told The Sun that he had big goals for his music.
“"I really want to earn the respect of an older audience,” he said. "I don't think there's any shame in trying to write music that will be recognised by people I admire, like Adele. Even Bono.”
Dappy is embarking on a solo career while band mate Tulisa begins her role as a judge on The X Factor.
