Ne-Yo thinks Miley Cyrus is just "living her life".
The 20-year-old singer has been slammed by stars including Kelly Clarkson and Brooke Shields recently for twerking on stage.
However musician Ne-Yo refuses to judge Miley for her provocative performances as she is simply going through the motions of growing up.
"You know what? Miley is living her life, man, and who I am to judge?" he told E! News.
The 33-year-old star, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, is a Grammy Award-winning artist.
He has worked with some of the most notable names in the industry, including songstress Beyoncé Knowles and wants to get creative with Miley now.
"Miley, if you're listening, holler at your boy!" he requested of the pop star whose album Bangerz is released October 8.
The former Disney starlet could feature on the R&B talent's upcoming sixth album if they get together in time.
"[I'm] in the man cave working on the album as we speak," he revealed.
During his breaks from the studio Ne-Yo has been checking out some presentations at New York Fashion Week.
He insists one style giant was his top choice even before rapper Jay Z named a song after him on his new LP titled Magna Carta Holy Grail.
"I am definitely a Tom Ford fan and that is before the song!" he joked.
However Ne-Yo recently revealed he prefers to be in his birthday suit before he crawls into bed.
When he finally does feel settled enough to dream, Ne-Yo doesn't count sheep to reach REM sleep.
"I sleep in the buff," he revealed. "[I watch] the inside of my eyelids - I was sleeping! Which I don't get to do often!"
