In June of 2004 Morrissey invited the legendary New York Dolls to play a very special show at this year's Meltdown Festival taking place in London at the Royal Festival Hall. Simply put the results were fantastic and found the Dolls playing better than ever. On 22nd November 2004, Sanctuary Visual Entertainment will release a DVD which documented the NY Dolls' only show in almost 30 years, and poignantly captures the final performance of bassist Arthur 'Killer' Kane, who recently passed away.
This DVD serves to illustrate why David Johansen, Sylvain Sylvain and Arthur Kane had such a massive influence on rock's superheroes of today, the likes of which include Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses and Motley Crue.
"Pre-Clash Condition" is mixed for both Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and 2.0 stereo with DVD bonus material which includes 'Pre-Gig Condition'; footage taken from the rehearsals for the NY Doll's gig at The Royal Festival Hall and bonus live performances of "Jet Boy" and "Personality Crisis" shot at The Move Festival held in Manchester on 11th July 04.
Further highlights from the bonus material on “Pre-Clash Condition†include the Arthur Kane Memorial from onepotato and a photo gallery of pictures taken at The Meltdown Festival.
