The New York Dolls say they will honour their commitments following the death of bassist Arthur Kane.
Frontman David Johansen says no long term decision has been taken on the recently revived band's future.
But he says they will play all of their scheduled gigs in the UK and US this summer with a replacement bassist.
Johansen told the New York Times: "We don't have any long-term plans or anything. We're honoring our commitments, and that's as far as we have any idea about."
"We've never had any kind of Maoist five-year plan anyway, nor have I with anything I've done."
"Everything I've done I've just fallen into. Most bands are commercial enterprises. But I'm not in one of those bands."
The group are due to play Belfast's Vital Festival on August 25, and the Reading and Leeds Festivals on August 28 and 29.
They will also play Little Steven's International Underground Garage Festival, New York, on August 14 and shows in Japan in September.
Kane died in July due to complications related to leukaemia. The band reunited in June for the Meltdown Festival at London's Royal Festival Hall.
