Brit-nominated singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner is set to headline a fundraising event organised by YN Media in aid of Norwood.
Newton, the winner of the Critics' Choice Award at the 2010 Brits, will be interviewed by Radio 1 entertainment presenter Natalie Jamieson at YN Unplugged, which is being held at the London Film Museum on Thursday, 6 October. He will then take to the stage for an exclusive live performance for the 200 guests, many of whom are young professionals from the media industries.
The evening will provide a great opportunity for YN supporters to network while raising vital funds for Norwood, a leading UK charity which supports people with learning disabilities and children and families in need. It will also feature a free bar, canapés, and a number of raffle and auction prizes, including a signed iPad 2, PS3, private box tickets to see a show at the O2 Arena, and signed film, TV and sporting memorabilia.
Nicola Graham, YN Manager, said: 'We are extremely excited about Newton's appearance at YN Unplugged and are grateful that he has taken time out of his busy schedule to support this worthy cause. I would also like to thank the YN Media Committee for all their hard work and efforts towards making this event a success. Our second YN Media Reception is one of a number of YN fundraising events this year which will help Norwood to continue to provide life-changing services on which so many people with learning disabilities, and children and families in need, rely.'
