Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds have been named Best Album at this year's Ivor Novello Awards - beating fellow nominees Arctic Monkeys and Laura Mvula to take the top prize at this year's ceremony.
Accepting the award for his incredible Push The Sky Away album, Nick Cave dedicated the Ivor to his wife Susie, 'who dances through most of the songs on this record.'
"This is the one to get," Cave told the crowd. "We don't really go to many of these awards ceremonies but we go to this one.
"I just want to thank everyone. Warren has written the last album with me and suddenly we are getting this kind of stuff. He taught me how to dispose of three chords and get down to just one chord."
Cave was nominated alongside Arctic Monkeys for AM and Laura Mvula for her debut, Sing To The Moon.
