Nick Jonas is "thrilled" about heading back to Broadway this winter.
Nick landed the leading role as J. Pierrepont Finch in staple Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe and Glee cast member Darren Criss have both previously played this part.
Nick, who will begin the show in January and end his run next summer, is elated about taking to the stage.
"I'm so thrilled to be making my return to Broadway and have it be this show specifically, which is just one that my fans will connect with," Nick told MTV News. "And hopefully people that aren't as familiar with my work in the past will come out and make it their first experience."
The show's ensemble is a great source of inspiration for Nick. He deeply admires some of the actors and theatre talent he will be working with.
"This is a great show, and it's interesting, because it's one of the only roles that a young man can really carry the whole show and be the lead of a show, which is a thrill for me," Nick explained. "And I'm so honoured Beau Bridges has just signed on [to play J.B. Biggley], so the cast is amazing, and I'm just honoured to be a part of it."
Nick, who currently resides in Los Angeles, is preparing to move cross-country to New York City for the role. He is looking forward to his relocation.
"I'm preparing by sort of packing up my L.A. place and getting all my stuff over here," he said. "And I found my place in the city, which is fun, and probably late December getting in there and getting comfortable."
Nick will grace the stage in his new part in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on January 24 2012.
