Nick Jonas now calls LA home, but is missing life in New York.
The US star, who dabbles in acting as well as singing, hails from the south of America where he grew up with his brothers Kevin, Joe and Frankie in Dallas, Texas.
Since finding fame he's had to relocate to different parts of the country, but it's taken some getting used to.
"Now [home] it's Los Angeles, then Texas. Family is back in Texas, so I go to see them. However, I was in New York for two years up until last January and I miss it very much, but I had to move to LA for the acting and recording," he told US GQ.
Nick started his career as part of the Jonas Brothers, with older siblings Kevin and Joe. They parted ways as a group in 2013 after eight years playing together, although the three still enjoy a close relationship. But if fans are hoping for a reconciliation, they won't be seeing one any time soon.
"I still talk to my brothers a few times a week but that chapter of our lives is closed. Now it's all about reinventing myself," he outlined.
Part of that reinvention has been to immerse himself in the world of acting. Last year the 22-year-old won the part of a mixed martial arts fighter in Kingdom, and he now has multiple new roles coming up.
"It stars Lea Michele along with Jamie Lee Curtis and Joe Manganiello," he said of new TV show Scream Queens, from the creators of Glee.
"It's a dark comedy, and should be a lot of fun. I am also attached to a film called Goat with James Franco's production company. So along with the music, I'm having a real fun time."
