Nick Jonas thinks Valentine's Day can be "problematic".
The singer-and-actor is currently dating Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, which means they'll likely be spending the romantic weekend together.
While many people enjoy making a big deal of the day, 22-year-old Nick is reluctant to pin too many hopes on the 14th.
"I don't know. Until last year I'd never celebrated it," he admitted to the British edition of Cosmopolitan magazine when asked what he has planned.
"People put a lot of emphasis on the day, which can be problematic, but last year Olivia and I and two of our friends went on holiday to the Dominican Republic, which happened to fall over Valentine's Day. That was awesome."
Despite his reluctance to go big on February 14, Nick does have a romantic side. He'll always be honest but makes up for tough love with thoughtful gifts.
"I'd be sensitive, though and say, 'It's not my favourite,'" he revealed when asked if he'd tell a girl if he didn't like her outfit.
"I'm romantic too: our first Christmas together I bought Olivia 12 gifts that all had some significance to the year we'd had. She loved it."
Nick thinks his honesty is his best trait, while snoring is his worst. He added that he's not immune to jealousy, which is why the negative emotion became the title of his second solo single.
"A fair amount of jealousy is good. If there's none, that's a bit strange," he reasoned.
