Nick Jonas: ‘I’m wishing for a New Year’s kiss!’

Singer Nick Jonas hopes to ring in the New Year with a huge kiss because 2015 was a bittersweet year that "dramatically transformed" his life.

The 23 year old and his former girlfriend Olivia Culpo broke up in June 2015 after dating since August 2013. Although he has been linked to Kate Hudson and Kendall Jenner since his split from Olivia, who was announced Miss Universe 2012, Nick is officially a single man - something he is still coming to terms with.

"I don't know," he told People magazine in response to whether he is likely to be kissing some lucky lady when the ball drops at midnight on 1 January 2016. "I'm trying to figure that out myself. Hopefully, we'll see."

Nick went on to explain his reality has altered completely in the past 12 months.

"I think it's been one of the most memorable years of my life, both career-wise and also personally so much has changed, and the world has sort of transformed so dramatically," he noted.

Nick is now a successful solo artist following the 2013 split of his former band the Jonas Brothers, which was comprised of himself along with his siblings Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas.

In 2014 Nick released his single Jealous and the song proved to be a huge hit with fans, eventually peaking at number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

After attaining huge triumphs as a solo musician, he is not sure whether the Jonas Brothers will reunite anytime soon.

"Our journey is interesting because we were in (the Jonas Brothers band) and then that ended and we all kind of had to learn how to be a family without the business in the middle of it, and that took a minute," Nick said. "It took some learning and a little time to figure out what that dynamic would be like, because for so long it was our life."
