Nick Jonas Ready To Vote Next Month ... Wherever He Is

When the Jonas Brothers made their debut as a band in 2005, baby bro Nick Jonas was just 14 years old. Back then, we're pretty sure he was more focused on his freshman year of high school (and maybe Miley Cyrus) than he was on politics.

Fast-forward to 2012: Jonas just turned 20 and is looking forward to voting in his very first presidential election next month. In our Power of 12 countdown to Election Day on November 6 (we're just 23 days away!), we asked Jonas for his thoughts on the fast-approaching milestone.

"I'm really excited to vote," Jonas told during rehearsals for his Radio City Music Hall reunion gig with his big brothers. "I've always tried to pay attention to politics and sort of formulate my views and opinions in the past elections where I wasn't able to vote. But now that I'm able to vote, I'm really looking forward to it."

Just one problem: The Jonas Brothers won't be in the States come November 6.

"We're going to be out of the country, so I've got to work out what I can do there," Nick said, before the oldest (and wisest) brother, "Married to Jonas" star Kevin Jonas, chimed in with a solution: "Absentee ballot."

One thing's for sure: Some travel plans are definitely not going to keep Nick from choosing between President Barack Obama and former Governor Mitt Romney next month. "It's an interesting election for sure," he said.
