Nicki Minaj believes her sophomore album is "going to do its thang".
The hip-hop artist has released her second studio album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, following her success of her first record Pink Album. Nicki thinks her new LP will be a hit as she prepares to showcase the songs with a UK tour in June.
"This album is gonna sell so much more than Pink Friday," she told radio station Power 105.1.
"Ask me this question two years from today. Clue. With me, I'm never about first week and all that. I like to look at it for the long haul. I'ma travel, I'ma meet my beautiful babies, my Barbz [fans] everywhere, and this is my first time I'm gonna get to do a world tour, so the album is gonna do its thang."
Nicki has collaborated with a number of producers for the album including Nas, Hit-Boy, Dr Luke, Ester Dean, Rico Beats, Drake, Young Jeezy, Chris Brown, Bobby V and Beenie Man. She was surprised Nas agreed to work with her on the song Champion.
"I didn't think I could get Nas, just to be honest," she said.
"He's always been so exclusive. He doesn't work with everybody and I respect people that are like that. They take pride in their craft."
Her favourite tracks to record were the silly dance tunes. The songs made her laugh so much she had to keep rerecording.
"I had a blast recording a lot of my dance songs, Pound the Alarm and Starships. Those were a lot of fun," she said.
"I had fun recording Come on a Cone. I was busting out laughing in the booth. When I said, 'D**k in your face,' that was in one take. And I also had fun doing Beez in the Trap 'cause I made that hook up trying to be funny."
