Nicki Minaj has revealed that she also won't be returning to American Idol.
The rapper has been feuding with co-judge Mariah Carey throughout the entire twelfth season of the TV singing competition.
Apparently the two divas simply could not cease catfighting due to diametrically opposed views.
Mariah confirmed on Twitter she was abandoning her post on the programme. Just two hours later Nicki did the same.
"Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn't trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!! (sic)" Nicki wrote to her over 16 million followers.
The star released her last album Roman Reloaded in spring 2012.
American Idol producers at Fox, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment are supportive of her choice to concentrate on other professional endeavours.
"Nicki Minaj is a superstar who brought a level of honesty and passion to American Idol and who had a tremendous positive impact on so many contestants this season," executives released in a joint statement. "Given her extremely busy career, we understand and respect her decision and wish her the best."
It has been reported that American Idol has suffered a dismal decline in ratings with figures down 20 per cent year on year.
Three out of the four judges have bowed out of the forthcoming season.
Now that Nicki, Mariah and Randy Jackson have confirmed their departure, Keith Urban is the last remaining judge who has not announced his future plans.
