The 26-year-old singer and an unidentified man are said to have got into an argument near the Hotel Palomar's pool, which led to Minaj asking the hotel to call the police.
Minaj reportedly told authorities that the man, who was not her boyfriend, had hit her on the lip during a fight, but she refused to press charges.
She has since taken to her Twitter page to dismiss the claims.
She tweeted today: 'The fact that you believe a man either slapped or punched me in the face and didn't leave on a stretcher with his balls hanging off? GetaF%cknLife [sic].'
