Nicki Minaj says her Japanese fans calls her "Neeki Sahn" as she embarks on a tour of the country.
The actress took to her Twitter account today to pay tribute to her Japanese followers.
True to her quirky form, she also posted photos of herself in bizarre outfits and florescent wigs during her time in the country. She arrived at Tokyo International airport on Tuesday wearing a bright green wig, green vest top and pink trousers.
"They call me Neeki Sahn. So cute > RT @TrendZ86: @NICKIMINAJ Are they callin you Neeki in Japan? (sic)," Nicki wrote on Twitter.
She also agrees with a Twitter follower's comments that the people are friendly.
The singer has been enjoying her time in the country as she promotes her forthcoming album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which will be released on April 3.
"Precisely > RT @TrebbleBarbie: @NICKIMINAJ you have so much freedom and no one to judge you over there! (sic)," she said.
Nicki feels at home in the country which is renowned for its unique and modern fashions. She tweeted about preparations for her show today.
"I'm in the future. Its 230pm in Japan on Thursday. Headed to sound check for my show :) (sic)"
The star recently said she wanted to be seen as a stand-alone artist. She believes it is best to look out for her own interests.
"My goal the whole time has been for people to see me as a stand-alone artist," she told Complex magazine. "I came out with Young Money, the biggest hip-hop label in the world at the time. And then it was, 'How do I branch away from Lil Wayne?'"
