The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, in conjunction with Stiff Promotions, is extremely honored to present an evening with none other than the multi-platinum-selling Nik Kershaw.
Nik will be performing exclusively at the Luminaire nightclub in Kilburn on Sunday 16th November (doors open 7:30pm), to perform this exclusive solo acoustic show after a 7 year absence from live performances.
Nik Kershaw signed with MCA Records in 1983 and released his debut album 'Human Racing' in 1984. It achieved multi-platinum sales and launched his career worldwide. The equally successful 'The Riddle' followed and, in July 1985, he took to the stage at Wembley to perform at Live Aid.
In 1990, after four MCA albums and sales of over 8 million, Nik left the spotlight to concentrate on songwriting and producing. The following years saw him working with a wide range of high profile artists including Elton John, Chesney Hawkes, Bonnie Tyler, Lulu, Ronan Keating, Jason Donovan, The Hollies and Gary Barlow to name just a few.
In 1998 he rekindled his recording career with the critically acclaimed album '15 Minutes' and has subsequently released two albums. He has received accolades from such legends as Eric Clapton and Miles Davis and has been nominated for four Brit Awards.
Tickets: £17.50 advance or £19.50 on the door and can be purchased from WeGotTickets, TicketWeb or the ICMP reception. (There are a limited number of discount £12.50 tickets available to ICMP students)
