Nine Black Alps are set to return to action following singer Sam Forrest's illness.
Though the singer was struck down with the seemingly innocuous mumps last month, he revealed just how serious his case was.
“It was like something out of ‘The Exorcist',†he explained. “It was basically two weeks of lying in bed being unable to sleep and I couldn't drink anything either because I had a stomach infection. If I had some water I just threw it up, which would make my noise bleed at the same time.â€
He added: “I was staying in this London hotel room by myself and by the end of it, the room was covered in vomit and blood.â€
Despite Forrest's illness forcing Nine Black Alps to abandon the NME New Music Tour inspired by Rizla, and delay the release of their debut album ‘Everything Is' until June 12, he's now on the mend.
“I'm pretty much back to normal now, a little light headed,†explained the singer who confirmed the band are undertaking a short tour ahead of the album's release.
Nine Black Alps are playing the following dates:
Southampton Lennons (June 9)
Brighton Engine Rooms (10)
Isle Of Wight Festival (11)
London Barfly (12)
London 100 Club (15)
