Noel Gallagher could be lined up to replace Simon Cowell once he leaves American Idol at the end of the current season. Asked about possible new panellists, the high-waited trouser wearer told E! Online.
"Noel? Do you think people would [be able to] understand him?"
When subtitles were suggested, he replied:
"Subtitle him! [Laughter.] Actually I know Noel quite well, and I like him. He's quite funny and a brilliant songwriter. It's a possibility."
Other possible replacements included celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
