Noel Gallagher has claimed his brother Liam's fashion label contributed to the end of Oasis.
The guitarist quit the band before a Paris festival show in August 2009 following a huge bust-up with his sibling, and Noel has claimed their relationship began to deteriorate after he told Liam he couldn't advertise his Pretty Green clothing line in the group's tour programme.
The 44-year-old musician said: 'Our own relationship was never as bad as people made out. But it all started to unravel if I'm honest when he started his clothing label. He demanded that in the Oasis tour programme he be allowed to advertise it, which I was against, I didn't think it was right for him to be flogging his gear to our fans. And there was a massive row about it and it kind of went back and forward for a bit.'
Noel admits his volatile brother became most enraged when he suggested he should pay him for the privilege of including Pretty Green adverts in the programme for the 'Dig Out Your Soul Tour' ' which ran from August 2008 until that fateful night in Paris.
At a press conference to announce the details of his debut solo album, the 'Falling Down' singer added: 'n the end I said, 'Alright if you want to advertise in the programme how much?' And he couldn't get his head round that, and I said, 'Well if electric kettles want to advertise kettles in the tour programme then they take a booking, right? So how much are you gonna pay me?' And he hit through roof, and it slowly went downhill from there.'
Noel is releasing two solo albums. The first record, 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds', will come out on October 17, while the second LP ' a collaboration with electronic act Amorphous Androgynous ' will be released in the summer of 2012.
