Saddle Creek are very excited to announce that Now It's Overhead will be supporting REM on their UK tour in February. Michael Stipe, along with Conor Oberst from Bright Eyes, added vocals to tracks on Now It's Overhead's last album, Fall Back Open.
To coincide with this tour Saddle Creek are releasing a single 'Wait In A Line' from the 'Fall Back Open' album released last year.
This three-song single captures the eclectic mix of "Fall Back Open," while showcasing Now It's Overhead as interpreter and the interpreted. "Wait in a Line" the album¹s transfixing opener, bridges the distance between Now It's Overhead's organic melodies and dark, driving beats with songwriter Andy LeMaster's epic guitar tones and distinctive vocals. The first of two exclusive b-sides is an instrumentally lush cover of Magnetic Fields "Book of Love," which is followed by The Faint's dance remix take on "Wait in a Line." The single also features an exclusive video for "Wait in a Line," courtesy of the folks at Bifocal Media.
When Andy isn't crafting the dark, melodic pop of Now It¹s Overhead, he¹s touring and recording with Bright Eyes, working at his studio in Athens with bands like Azure Ray and REM, or finding the occasional hour or two to sleep.
Now It's Overhead is the combined talents of singer-songwriter, recording engineer and Bright Eyes contributor Andy LeMaster, Azure Ray¹s Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink, and drummer Clay Leverett.
