Ocean Colour Scene see two of their key albums reissued as deluxe packages on February 17th 2014. The self titled debut album "Ocean Colour Scene" and their No 1 album "Marchin Already".
One of the most acclaimed bands from the 'Britpop' generation, Ocean Colour Scene released the self titled debut in October 1992 and it proved to be a pre-cursor to a number of great albums to come. The album was produced by three different producers after original producer Jimmy Miller pulled out, although not reflecting the bands on stage persona some of the tracks shone out such as the debut single 'Sway' and 'Justine'. The deluxe version is newly remastered from the original tapes with updated artwork featuring many rare photos and memorabilia. New sleeve notes have been written by Mojo's Lois Wilson and feature a new interview with the band. A bonus disc of rare b-sides and sessions is included.
"Marchin' Already" was the follow up to the critically acclaimed and million seller album "Moseley Shoals". "Marchin' Already" was another massive success even replacing Oasis as the number one album in the UK. Their third album was released in September 1997 featured songs such as 'Travellers Tune', 'It's A Beautiful Thing' and ' Hundred Mile City' which are still regulars in their set to this day. "Marchin' Already" has been newly remastered from original tapes and comes with a bonus disc of rare b-sides, demos and sessions. Also featured is a rare live recording from Manchester Apollo from the 22/2/98 and a DVD featuring the Live At Stirling Castle gig from August 1998. New sleeves nots by Mojo's Lois Wilson featuring new interview with the band with updated artwork and rare pics and memorabilia. This package also comes with a concert poster.
Both reissues have been done in conjunction with the band themselves.
