Olivia Newton-John marries

Olivia Newton-John has pulled off what most celebrities only dream about … a secret wedding.

Reports have surfaced that the Grease star threw a surprise marriage at her Mailbu home on July 4.

Friends and family came to her house expecting a 4th of July BBQ, but instead 59-year old Livvy married 49-year old John Easterling, an American businessman.

This is the second marriage for Livvy. She was married to actor Matt Lattanzi and the couple have a daughter, Chloe.

Olivia has seldom been tied to romance in the tabloids with the exception of her friendship with Patrick McDermott, who mysteriously disappeared in 2005.

Olivia Newton-John became a household name around the world after the movie Grease but she was a major star in Australia for more than a decade prior.

She started out in an all-girl band called Sol Four when she was just 14-years old and became nationally known on the 60s TV show The Happy Show.

However, it was 1971 when she first broke into the US with a cover of the Bob Dylan song 'If Not For You'.

Olivia went on to become a major country star in America with hits like 'Let Me Be There', 'Long Live Love' and 'If You Love Me Let Me Know' but in 1978 that all changed.

Olivia became Sandy in Grease and the wholesome country girl was transformed into the leather clad pop star.

Easterling made his money as the founder of the Amazon Herb Company. The company is one of the largest health and nutritional supplements companies in the USA.

The 80s got even edgier with hits like 'Physical' and 'A Little More Love' that added to her legacy.
