Palma Violets will release their debut album 180' on 25th February 2013 on Rough Trade Records.
The London four-piece formed last year and up until recently have had minimum online presence and no songs recorded, instead preferring for people to come and experience their raucous live shows at their Lambeth studio 180.
The album is named after this building, which also features on the cover (above). '180' was recorded in London at RAK Studios (produced by Pulp's Steve Mackey), and also at The Lightship (produced by Rory Attwell).
This year Palma Violets have toured with Alabama Shakes and Savages, appeared on Jools Holland and been nominated for the BBC Sound of 2013 Poll. They will be touring the UK in February as part of the NME Awards tour alongside Django Django, Miles Kane and Peace.
The band will also be doing a short string of headline dates in March:
March 2013
19 Exeter Lemon Grove
20 Cambridge Junction
21 Sheffield Queens Social Club
24 Middleborough Empire
26 Oxford O2 Academy
Tickets available here.
Palma Violets are Sam Fryer (vocals/guitar), Chilli Jesson (vocals/bass), Peter Mayhew (keyboard) and Will Doyle (drums).
