The blonde bombshell and former Baywatch star took to her website to explain to fans that her newest shoot had been at the behest of the magazine's founder Hugh Hefner and would help raise funds for a good cause.
“I’ve just shot another Playboy cover that will debut in January for Hef, at his request – I adore him,” the 43-year-old said.
“Playboy and I decided to do this, so I could donate earnings from the shoot to Waves for Water. It’s an amazing group that supplies water filters to countries that are in need of clean drinking water. It has already made a huge difference in Indonesia, Pakistan and Haiti.”
The mother of two is also known for her work with animal rights group PETA.
Anderson’s edition of the men’s magazine will hit newsstands in January, Access Hollywood reports.
