The North Sea Jazz Festival, the largest indoor music festival in the world, has announced the second raft of artists for the legendary three-day event, which takes place in Rotterdam from July 10th – 12th.
Having already announced that this year's event will feature a headline show from superstar pairing Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, the festival has released details of additional acts confirmed to perform. They will welcome an array of international stars and world-class emerging talent including Chick Corea & Herbie Hancock, Lionel Richie, Beth Hart, Alabama Shakes, Paolo Nutini, Hozier, Melody Gardot, The Stanley Clarke Band and Benjamin Clementine.
Located in the bustling port town of Rotterdam, only an hour from the UK by plane, the festival brings together the very best artists from the worlds of jazz, blues, funk, soul, r&b, hip-hop and pop and is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most unique live music events on offer.
Founded in 1976 with performances from legendary artists including Sarah Vaughan, Dizzy Gillespie and Count Basie, the North Sea Jazz Festival was an instant success, attracting over 9000 visitors in its first year. The festival moved to its current home in Rotterdam in 2006 and will this year present over 1000 musicians and welcome over 70000 music fans across the weekend.
