Drummer Dave Buckner has left Papa Roach.
Singer Jacoby Shaddix writes on the band's MySpace site it was one of the hardest things they have ever had to do.
Shaddix says Buckner is "taking this time to get his life together," although he doesn't go into specifics. Shaddix says they're still friends and still talk regularly.
Shaddix says, "The road is a hard place to live and if you are falling apart it will destroy you." Shaddix does not say anything about a new drummer, but he says Papa Roach plans to start writing new music soon.
