Tickets for Sir Paul McCartney's gig at London's 100 Club sold out in seconds today (December 15).
The former Beatle is due to perform to just 300 fans at the venue on Friday (December 17).
In a statement, Sir Paul said he was “really looking forward” to performing at the venue, which has been threatened by closure due to spiralling rent prices.
“I've never played at The 100 Club before and it's great to be playing at a venue with so much great history that has seen so many brilliant gigs over the years,” he said.
“One of the reasons for playing The 100 Club, besides playing a small club gig, is so that we can be part of the campaign to help the venue stay open for a new generation of up and coming artists, like myself!”
The gig is in addition to Sir Paul's previously announced Christmas gigs in London and Liverpool next week.
