Overview
Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture reaches a high point on Sunday 1 June Liverpool FC's Anfield stadium. Local and global legend, Sir Paul McCartney, graces the hallowed turf to play to his hometown, and will be joined on stage by Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl. They'll collaborate on an as yet unannounced song.
The Fighters will then head off to the City of Manchester Stadium for the following night, with support from the Manic Street Preachers and the Futureheads, and then Wembley Stadium on 6 & 7 June with Supergrass and Futureheads (again) supporting.
