Paul McCartney has been forced to cancel all upcoming tour dates in Japan due to ongoing illness.
The Beatles icon and solo star postponed a gig in Tokyo on the weekend after touching down in the country for a tour - but now he has pulled a second due to ill health, and is still due to perform in Seoul, South Korea, before embarking on a 19 US tour dates.
However, he is now under doctors orders for 'complete rest'.
"Thank you so much for your kind messages of support," said Sir Paul in a statement. "I'm so very touched. Unfortunately my condition has not improved overnight. I was really hoping that I'd be feeling better today. I'm so disappointed and sorry to be letting my fans down."
Japanese gig organiser Kyodo Tokyo added: "[McCartney] will regrettably have to cancel the remaining Japanese shows. Paul is still not feeling better and this cancellation is unavoidable".
