Sir Paul McCartney has been taking ballet tips from The Cheeky Girls.
The Beatles legend attends the same East Sussex gym as Romanian pop twins Monica and Gabriela Irimia, and has been asking them for advice on how to improve his warm-up routine.
Speaking at a party to celebrate Gabriela's engagement to MP Lembit Opik at London's Embassy Club, their mother Margit revealed: "The girls have met Sir Paul McCartney several times down their local gym in East Sussex.
He has been utterly charming to them and they have seen him on the treadmill several times. "They have given him some advice on his stretching exercises as they are trained ballerinas."
Margit also revealed she is hoping to persuade Bee Gees star Barry Gibb to help her daughters with their next album. Gabriela and Monica first found fame on UK reality TV show 'Popstars: The Rivals' in 2002.
They later released their novelty hit single 'Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)', which was written by their mother. Despite following that up with three more top 10 singles, The Cheeky Girls have not had a song in the UK Top 40 singles chart since 'Cheeky Flamenco' in 2004.
