Paul McCartney's intimate show at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo saw him praise fans for making the journey despite snowy conditions last night (December 18).
Speaking after playing Wings favourite 'Jet' at the gig, which comes hot on the heels of McCartney playing London's 350-capacity 100 Club, the singer said how "great" it was to be playing the venue.
"Actually I'm glad you got here, in the warm from the snow," he said. "We were thinking there'd be about four of you in the audience!"
McCartney, who was watched by Paul Weller, also gave a shoutout to John Lennon ahead of playing 'Here Today', commenting "can you believe it's 30 years?" since his former song writing partner was murdered.
He also played a version of 'Something' on a ukulele given to him by George Harrison and joked that Beatles classic 'All My Loving' was "a new song", ahead of dedicating 'Maybe I'm Amazed' to former-wife Linda McCartney and "all the lovers in the audience".
As an encore, McCartney played his festive song 'Wonderful Christmas Time' to the crowd.
