Just hours after the rock legend signed 'Let It Be Paul McCartney' on Maggie Muldoon Silverstein’s shoulder at a concert, she was at a tattoo parlour having it permanently inked on.
Silverstein, 24, revealed: “It was all so surreal but just incredible. Just being called up on the stage and meeting Paul McCartney was a dream come true but for him to sign his name on my back was unbelievable. The minute we got out of the concert we called the tattoo parlour and told them we were on our way. I didn’t want to wait and I certainly didn’t want to go home and lay on it and smudge it!”
McCartney called Silverstein up on stage at a US concert after he saw her waving a sign from the audience.
She was sitting five rows from the stage at the concert at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio, with husband Matt.
He was holding a sign that read: 'Paul, Sign my Wife,' while Silverstein also held up a sign saying: 'I’m the Wife … Sign Me.'
McCartney mentioned the signs about halfway through the gig, much to the delight of the couple.
But then towards the end of the show, security grabbed the pair and took them on to the stage.
Once they were up there McCartney whipped out a black marker pen and signed her right shoulder.
